Well, as if we haven’t been inactive as it is for the past few months since we released the last volume of Char’s Deleted Affair and RedTail bid farewell to the group, it seems as though the group will continue to be inactive this Fall and into the Winter season. While my plan to do a chapter a week is still on the back burner, unfortunately that won’t be happening any time soon due to a hectic as hell final semester. Although my Linguistic classes are going to be easy as pie, it’s my Japanese workload that is currently kicking my ass. My capstone course is what is eating up nearly all of my time due to the novel I’m translating. You can see a sample of it below.
Until classes officially kick off, I’m not sure what my schedule is really going to look like, so I just ask that everyone please bear with us for the time being. In other news, I’ve paid the server fee for the month, so we’re good to go to continue to host our direct downloads on the release page and what not. If there are any issues, feel free to address them as a comment. Above all, thank you to our loyal fans who have stuck with us through everything. We’ll be back up and running just as soon as Deacky sits down and focuses on his translation studies. Fives pages of novel translating a day isn’t the most joyous of things to do, especially when it’s wall after wall of Japanese text. =)
Oh, here’s what I’m translating for my capstone course:

“It is currently just past eight o’clock Greenwich Mean Time. We hope that everyone is having a safe and happy New Years Eve! Tonight, we are bidding farewell to one era while welcoming in another. According to human history, this time period was christened by the birth of a famous religious figure. Whether you have faith or not, the era known as ‘Anno Domini’ will end in four hours time. From darker, primitive times, we have continued to grow, first standing on two legs, then sailing across oceans and finally soaring through the clouds. Now, humans have developed sufficient technology to travel into outer space and create a habitat rivaling that of the planet many still refer to as ‘mother Earth.’ Humans have opened the door to a new era: a migration of mankind into space!
Much like our ancestors traveled from continent to continent spreading their civilization, we too must take on the task of spreading our own civilization into the far reaches of space. From today forward, those traveling to space will no longer simply be ‘astronauts’ or ‘engineers,’ but rather space colonists charged with lighting even the darkest corners of the universe with the light of life. Those chosen to live in space shall be called Spacenoids. With a new era naturally comes a new calendar. In four hours, at the stroke of midnight, the Earth Federation government kicks off a ceremony in honor of this new calendar. History will forever remember this occasion, hosted at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Laplace. This floating residence was built in Earth’s orbit to symbolize a bridge between the Earth and Outer Space. There is no location more suitable to ring in the beginning of the space age.
While the press, along with seemingly the entire world, eagerly awaits the midnight hour, delegates from the Federation’s member states continue to arrive at Laplace. On a night celebrating the eve of a new year and the dawn of a new era, everyone is wearing their emotions on their sleeves. Our anticipation of this new era is met with a certain uneasy reluctance over parting with more than two thousand years of tradition. However, tonight we are all eyewitnesses. Out of each and every human to walk this planet in its long and storied history, only those of us here tonight will be able to see the beginning of a new era with our own eyes. Celebrate this occasion and cherish fond memories of the previous era while you happily usher in the coming era.
Good-bye, Anno Domini… and greetings, Universal Century!”
