A color photo story consisting of 2-4 pages each with accompanying monochrome artwork and model explanation. The first four installments document the story of the Federation Forces Special Forces known as DRAGOON 13 which is comprised of former Zeon Forces prisoners of war during the Zeta Gundam era. The final five chapters shift back to the One Year War depicting the stories of the Zeon pilots centered around Commander Hannibal.
It is the alias of the 13th Autonomous Mobile Squadron, a special forces unit of the Earth Federation Forces. The unit is composed of former Zeon prisoners of war from the One Year War and is often forced to carry out operations as a sort of suicide corps/disposable unit. Therefore, due to its nature, they’re rarely provided with the latest equipment because they mainly put to use older models or test units whose development was halted. They customize and upgrade defective suits, so to speak, to match the pilot’s nature and operation objective. They compare themselves to Rough Riders from the old West pioneering days.
