Brave Soldiers of the Sky is a side-story comic work depicting Zeon ace pilots during the One Year War, utilizing MSV settings. The artwork is by Oki Hajime. The Johnny Ridden chapter was published in Comic Japan magazine in 1997, but the magazine was quickly discontinued. The subsequent Shin Matsunaga chapter appeared in RPG Magazine Great, which also met the same fate of immediate cancellation. As a result, the Elliot Rem chapter included in this collected volume was initially prepared for serialization but remained unpublished and shelved, while the Thomas Kurtz chapter had storyboards completed at the time but was newly drawn specifically for this compilation release.
