deackychu Well, I’m super excited and extremely nervous. This is my first actual vacation. The last time I took one was back in 2008 with my ex driving to Florida. That was so not pleasant. Being the only person who could drive plus having to deal with being the odd man out of the family was quite awkward. What better way to celebrate it? SKYDIVING!! It was on the bucket list and my best friend really wanted to do it despite his fear of heights so we decided to have a little fun and do it.
So, I’m flying out tonight to San Diego and he’s driving in with two of his friends from Albuquerque. It’s going to be insane!
I’m a bit apprehensive about going because it feels like I have a billion and one things left to do (but I don’t). I guess I’m just feeling guilty of dipping into my ultra fabulous savings account that I actually have.In the past, I had an insane amount of debt in addition to my $95,000 in student loan debt, but I paid off all of my bills in January and have since been diligently saving for such a much needed reprieve. I’m hoping to finally relax for a change instead of being off the deep end.
Plus, I think when I come back I’ll find out whether I got my assistant night manager posting or not… I saw that my position was posted on our company job postings list so that can only mean one thing!! I’m moving up to either a coordinator position (aka third man) or assistant night crew chief! Woo! Pay raise! Hell yeah!
