Much like the YMS-03 Waffe, the Bugu is a newly invented suit as the predecessor to the Zaku. Although it is higher in performance than the Zaku I by design, mass production was postponed because production costs ballooned, but it is said that multiple units were manufactured. Two types of the suit appeared in Episode 4 of the anime: a prototype color and Ramba Ral’s version | |||

For the coloring and marking plans of the shield, the left and center gray shields are the final designs. The shield on the right is another proposal that specifies the Zeon insignia and suit number “04” according to the manga original and a personal coloring is added at one point. Although painting mobile suit development numbers on the suits is a traditional method of marking mobile suits, following Ramba Ral, individual suit numbers were assigned to each machine to emphasize the personality of each pilot. |
