KERAUNOS
Mothership of a terrorist group led by Volker Merckx and former Zeon Forces soldiers. A Zanzibar that was half damaged at Solomon during the One Year War, the Federation Forces recovered it and repaired it during the postwar period. Following the completion of assessment tests, Merckx and the others took it over from the “sponsor”. During repairs, the warship’s bow bridge became the bridge structure. The main verniers were separated to the right and left and in the empty space a new mobile suit storage hatch was installed.

The Zanzibar pictured here became the base for the Keraunos. In comparison to the same type of other ships, it’s characteristic is its smart form. It’s equipped with a nuclear jet/rocket engine like other ships and has the ability to be used inside and outside the atmosphere. It’s equipped with 1 double barrel mega particle cannon and four fixed mega particle cannons.
