AMX-011G ZAKU III
The main mass production type mobile suit of the Mars Independent Zeon Forces (Zeon Mars). The AMX-011 Zaku III was developed as an official successor of the MS-06 Zaku II which is synonymous with the former Principality of Zeon forces. This unit is a version for ground combat, and unnecessary space use equipment has been removed under Martian gravity. Production was carried out at the Mars plant. The original concept of the Zaku III was that of machine that could respond to different missions depending upon the replacement of equipment, so it was easy to change the specs according to the environments it would be used in. Furthermore, a particular characteristic of it is its silhouette which is close to the former MS-06 Zaku. This was done in order to plant awareness of Zeon into recruits who had not yet experienced actual combat and bolster their spirits. An interesting point is that the RMS-106 HiZack used by the opposing Re-Zeon, is the successor for the Earth Federation Forces made MS-06, which shares the same ancestry, thus symbolizing the military and ideological backgrounds of both organizations.
