AMX-011EW ZAKU III RECON TYPE
A reconnaissance version of the Zaku III that was used and developed by Axis and under the cooperation of Zeon Mars. In attition to the cameras installed on the head, shoulders and between the legs, the suit is an upgraded recon type of the Zaku III. While equipped with a gun camera, this version became specialized for recon and enemy searches conforming to the Zaku II Recon type.
The backpack is equipped with large radome antennas as well as other recon efforts for mobile suits (EWAC unit). These two sets of radome antennas are equipped with the same standard equipment as the Luggun recon plane utilized by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War. The panel-like blade antenna can also be said to be a characteristic feature shared by recon-use mobile suits. Although it was possible to utilize it regardless of whether it was in space or on the ground while operating in the Earth Sphere, under current Martian conditions it is impossible to recon from the skies. There are instances of it being utilized in ground combat and it removes the rear radome only when it becomes dead weight.
