MUSAI-CLASS LIGHT CRUISER
A light cruiser that would serve as the main force of the Principality of Zeon’s space fleet. The Arcana-class civilian space transport ship, developed prior to the war, was remodeled and designed as a light cruiser. From the development stages, mobile suits were assumed to be the new mobile weapons and so it would be possible to load a total of six mobile suits, 4 in the main hanger and 2 inside the Komusai. The Musai-class has excellent hit deflection due to its smaller cross section, and the agility afforded by the placement of its thrusters allows it to easily take evasive action. Afterwards, variations with modified equipment would be would be produced.
Three mega particle cannons are mounted on the front of the hull with anti-aircraft guns on the bottom and rear. However, because they emphasize cooperation with mobile suits, they’re inferior in attack power and range in comparison to Federation ships that emphasize fleet battles.
