1. The face mask resembles the Hyaku Shiki
2. The cockpit is a provisionally installed two-seater in the abdomen.
3. A large hand-type mega particle cannon
4. There’s a Qubeley-type prototype funnel container on the abdominal armor (in the rear).
5. There are propellant tanks on the back in place of funnel containers.
The Sazabi prototype appears in the Animage Bunko edition (Volume.01) of Char’s Counterattack High Streamer. As it is a undergoing testing, it is designed with a temporary two-seater Geara Doga cockpit in the abdomen instead of the head. This is likely so that both the engineer and pilot can board it in order to obtain data and it is probably like the Baund-Doc’s (gray unit) double-seater type that appeared in Zeta Gundam. In the novel, Char and his subordinate Nanai Miguel are on board and meet with Amuro.
While it gives off the impression of being a machine that is developed from the Gelgoog on the outside, the Sazabi, with its model number of MSN-04, emulates the Zeong and seems to be a culmination of Zeon-type mobile suits that brought together Neo Zeon (Haman’s forces) Newtype-use mobile suit technology such as the Qubeley, Doven Wolf, Geymalk, and Queen Mansa.
Early on, Izubuchi’s design of the Sazabi was still using the name “Zanac” and the right hand was replaced with a large mega particle cannon. Although that was the case, the design was almost completely unchanged from the final draft. The original name is said to have been unusable because there was a similar name with Famicon Software. The head of the unit invoked Char’s helmet and it would appear that the face mask was intended to borrow from the Hyaku Shiki.
