deackychu There isn’t that much information around for some of the lesser-known suits from the 90s, simply because some of the design ideas were so far out there. Nonetheless, let’s dive into what little information we have available:

What We Know: An evolved version of the Alex, equipped with a total of 10 wire bits on both arms, both feet, and the backpack. This is referred to as the psycommu system, and that the bits can attack freely. Each section is equipped with verniers to cover for the excess weight. The vernier on the back can be separated a operate as a fighter. The size was roughly 30 meters, putting it between the Mk-II and Psycho Gundam. The suit was only designed and never manufactured. It is said to be the prototype of Psycho Gundam.

What We Know: The NT-X is one of the Newtype exclusive machines developed at the Murasame Labs, a Newtype research institute established in April U.C.0082. As an evolved version of the Newtype-use prototype mobile suit Alex, this unit was originally constructed at the Augusta base but was handed over to the Murasame Labs and given a new model number of MRX-003. Around the same time period was the MRX-002 NT Use Prototype Gundam. A characteristic of the NT-X’s equipment was its wired control bits, which repurposed the technology from wired beam cannons, so much so that the unit became so large it was unbalanced because it was mounted on a normal size mobile suit. Little experimental data could be obtained because pilots capable of piloting it through Newtype brainwaves were rare. Using this problem as a learning tool, the Murasame Labs returned to the same specs as the Zeong, and the Augusta Labs developed it as an INCOM through the support of a learning computer.
