During the One Year War, the Federation Forces operated this aircraft as a liaison plane. While there was the Dragon Fly as another liaison aircraft, it was a propeller-driven plane with slow speed and limited range. In contrast, the Dish aircraft utilized jet engines for high-speed flights. Its distinctive feature is the flat circular fuselage, which also doubles as a radar dome, providing it with excellent patrol capabilities. However, this was effective only when not disrupted by Minovsky particle dispersal, and during the One Year War, it couldn’t fully demonstrate its potential. Some theories suggest that due to this limitation, this aircraft, originally designed as a patrol plane, was repurposed as a liaison aircraft.

During the One Year War, most aircraft could take off, and land on relatively short runways, and this aircraft was highly capable of operating in very confined spaces.

As a side note, after the conclusion of Operation Odessa, General Revil boarded this aircraft and arrived at the Belfast Base in Northern Ireland from Eastern Europe.
