Jonah Bashta: A young pilot of a Stark Jegan assigned to the Shezar unit of the Earth Federation Forces cruiser Damascus. Rank is Lieutenant JG. He is suddenly transferred to the “Phoenix Hunting” taskforce at the request of the Intelligence Bureau. Having lost his parents in the colony drop by the Zeon forces during the One Year War, he was raised in an orphanage from a young age.
Rita Bernal: A young woman who lost her family like Jona did during the One Year War. She grew up with him at the orphanage. When she was 13 years old, she was given to foster parents associated with the Titans. Though it was later proven that she became a cyber Newtype pilot exclusively for the Phenex, the unit went wild during its evaluation and both her and the unit went missing.
Iago Haakana: Commander of the Shezar team. Rank is Lieutenant Commander. Pilots a Stark Jegan equipped with a sniper rifle. Although he leads the Phenex investigation mission as ordered by the top brass, many aspects of this mission seem suspicious.
Eskola Gedda: Commodore with the Earth Federation Forces Intelligence Bureau. He rose quickly to his current position by hiding the past fact that he was affiliated with the Titans during the Gryps War.
