Originally serialized in Gundam Ace starting in the January 2005 issue (released in November 2004), the comic version of the CG series adapted two of the three episodes while introducing new stories of its own. Work on this comic version was done with assistance from the main series staff. The mobile suits that appeared in this version were designed by Takayuki Yanase. One of the unique things about this work is the anti-ship rifle that appears as original equipment was later attached to the Gunpla of the Zudah and subsequently made its way into games and general use.
