TALENT PROJECT: ORIGINAL MECHA DESIGN
Congratulations on the launch of B-CLUB! I heard that my crude illustration was released in the first issue, so thank you so much for that.
The design I sent in for the talent project has changed so much in the past few months, so I very much want a place to show it off. I look forward to doing so much more since I’d like to continue doing my best with original mechanical design. (Tomoyuki Hiyama)

EXPECTATIONS FOR POLISHED DESIGN SENSE

The Rick Dias is a design by Mamoru Nagano, so I’ll be mindful of my critiism, but I feel Mr. Hiyama’s design sense is quite sophisticated. The outline doesn’t replace Nagano’s design, I feel there should’ve been a bit more fiddling as it’s better to have the leading role mecha stand out. Also, the beveling lines are connected well and wouldn’t be unnatural even if it’s rendered in 3D. This is crucial for mechanical design to be considered for commercialization. I look forward to seeing more.
