RX-79[G]F SLIFERAIL
During the One Year War, more than 20 RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type were produced based on surplus parts from the RX-78 and deployed to the Southeast Asia front and throughout Eurasia. But, with the deployment and operation of the RGM-79 GM, the supplies for the RX-79[G] were curtailed. Despite that, based on the supply parts that remained, the RX-79[G] underwent modifications to suit the traits of their fronts, thanks to the wisdom and ingenuity of on-site engineers, and was said to have been in operation until a new model replaced it.
One such unit, the RX-79[G]F Sliferail, was remodeled expecting covert operations in remote areas like wetlands and forested areas. The mobile suit was repainted with a highly concealable green color to suit combat in forests with dense foliage. The weight of the backpack was also reduced. In addition, at the pilot’s request, a beam javelin, which resembles a three-prong staff for warding off obstacles, is equipped on an added rack on either hip. The two can be connected to form a long beam javelin.
