So, I logged into my e-mail today and see this:

Now that’s rather hilarious since the IFPI deals with the record industry and that file, obviously, has nothing to do with recorded media. So, here is my response:

The IFPI, or International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, deals with the recording industry. The file called into question has absolutely nothing to do with the aforementioned organizations functions. A simple review of the file will show that it is a compressed file of JPEG images which are not even remotely related in any way to the recording industry. Therefore, I request that the file in question be reinstated and the matter addressed with the accusing party accordingly.

Well, yesterday marked our 8th year here at Zeonic. Honestly I don’t know how or why I’m still here doing this stuff. It’s amazing how far we have promised to come yet where we really stand. I sorta made a decision when I was out for a bike ride today, and that is that we will probably wrap things up at the ten year mark. I think a decade of working on Gundam material is plenty, but that’s just me. So, let’s see what we can set out to accomplish by the 2014 deadline, shall we? 🙂

Well, I’m back from my vacation of sorts, though I honestly wish I wasn’t. I had a blast, jumped out of  plane, got snockered with a bunch of friends and wanted to do it all over again. But, that’ll have to wait until September when I do it all over again. For now, I’ll share a couple photos from my skydiving adventures:

Yes, that’s me. I’m the second one from the right in the group shots. Skydiving was definitely the best thing that I’ve ever done in my life. The whole vacation definitely changed my perspective on life in regards to how far I’ve come and where I’m going.

Well, I’m super excited and extremely nervous. This is my first actual vacation. The last time I took one was back in 2008 with my ex driving to Florida. That was so not pleasant. Being the only person who could drive plus having to deal with being the odd man out of the family was quite awkward. What better way to celebrate it? SKYDIVING!! It was on the bucket list and my best friend really wanted to do it despite his fear of heights so we decided to have a little fun and do it.

So, I’m flying out tonight to San Diego and he’s driving in with two of his friends from Albuquerque. It’s going to be insane!

I’m a bit apprehensive about going because it feels like I have a billion and one things left to do (but I don’t). I guess I’m just feeling guilty of dipping into my ultra fabulous savings account that I actually have.In the past, I had an insane amount of debt in addition to my $95,000 in student loan debt, but I paid off all of my bills in January and have since been diligently saving for such a much needed reprieve. I’m hoping to finally relax for a change instead of being off the deep end.

Plus, I think when I come back I’ll find out whether I got my assistant night manager posting or not… I saw that my position was posted on our company job postings list so that can only mean one thing!! I’m moving up to either a coordinator position (aka third man) or assistant night crew chief! Woo! Pay raise! Hell yeah!

I’ll post photos and maybe the video once I have a chance! I’ll see you guys when I get back! 😀
