ADVANCE OF Z: THE FLAG OF TITANS

I’m trying something new out here at Zeonic. No, this isn’t something new… it’s actually something old. I’ve only had this stuff sitting around on the external that I’m still trying to salvage, so I figured I’d present stuff as I go through the folders. Here’s the deal with this series. I’m presenting the first photonovel chapter and manga grouping that correlates with the first of six chapters (chapter seven is the court martial events). All in all this should tie in quite nicely and provide for some interesting material for the Gundam community. A link to the first three chapters is below. The scans for the photonovel are attached.

[EPISODE.01]

EPISODE DATA

Timeframe: U.C.0084.12
Location: L5 Konpeitoh Sector
Main Unit: RX-121 Gundam TR-1 [Hazel]
Main Events:

Eliad enlists in the Titans
Eliard joins the T3 Unit

This episode illustrates from Eliard’s enlistment in the Titans until his first sortie as a member of the T3 unit. Eliard, having witnessed the overwhelming strength of the Black Otter Team’s commander Lieutenant Wes Murphy along with the Gundam TR-1 [Hazel], reflects on the pleasures of fighting with the Gundam.

MECHANICAL REPORT

RX-121 GUNDAM TR-1 [HAZEL]
Pilot: Lieutenant Wes Murphy

Using the GM Quel as a base, the unit is a prototype, experimental Gunadm type developed with added enhanced parts to various sections. The machine is the key point in the TR Project that is apart of the next generation development plan for the Titans.

RGM-79SR GM SNIPER III
Pilot: Lieutenant JG Carl Matsubara

A GM Kai High Mobility Type unit that was modified into a sniper version for long-range shooting. Operational efficiency is high because of a modification to the specs by a minimum addition of parts and a high-performance optical targeting visor.

The GM Kai High Mobility Type is a machine modified as a version off the RGM-79R GM II which was selected as the Federation Forces next generation main mobile suit. The Titans version of the GM Kai serves as a prototype test unit.

ALEXANDRIA-CLASS SPACE CRUISER ASWAN
Captain: Captain Otto Pedersen

As mothership of the T3 unit assigned to the Konpeitoh sector, it is also home to the Murphy team. Captain Otto Pedersen is also the captain of the ship as well as the commander of the T3 unit.

[MANGA CHAPTERS 1-3 TRANSLATION]
RELEASED: 2012.05.12

Chapters 4-5 will complete the first part of this arc before 6-10 mark a shift in the calendar year to 0085. Essentially Volume 01 will take place before the main crux of the series begins. I should hopefully have that done within the next week as I can easily do one chapter of this a day.

GUNDAM W —Frozen Teardrop— [Novel]

NEW MOBILE WAR REPORT GUNDAM W
—FROZEN TEARDROP—

SPECIAL PREQUEL
Interlude of the Heart
—Preventer 5— (Part.01)

Written by Katsuyuki Sumizawa
Character Illustrations by Sakura Asagi
Mechanical Design by Hajime Katoki
Original Planning by Hajime Yatate & Yoshiyuki Tomino
Cooperation by Bandai Hobby Division

I’ve completed the novel translation for this particular chapter. Sumizawa is essentially novelizing Preventer 5 but with quite a few changes to the plot line. Personally, I think it flows better (as of right now), but we’ll see how it goes later on.

Frozen Teardrop: Special Prequel

I’ve ported over what I have translated from AnimeSuki for this particular chapter. You can read it here. Hm… doing novel translations in snippets isn’t that bad. I should do it more often. *ponders what other stuff he can work on*

Freaking Out

As you can see from the above photo, there’s nothing in the project folder. The data is there but… nothing shows up on any of my hard drives. I’m not sure why. This just happened randomly and it’s scaring me to be honest :S I already lost everything I was working on today due to some freak hard drive crash/read error (fake me thinks), so losing my external backup is just… scary. I don’t really want to buy a new external… :/ External or May manga purchases… le sigh.

GLORY OF LOSERS.19

Nothing much going on in this particular release yet again, just an emo retrospect by Heero and whatnot. We’ll see what’s in store for next month. Frozen Teardrop is basically a novelization of Preventer 5 with some minor tweaks. I’ll see if I can flesh out some more details on that soon.

You can download Chapter.19 here.

Random Updates

I’ve updated the Gundam Age music page with a translated track of OST 2. Had to guess some of the meanings as I didn’t really know the context of the 2nd arc and all (haven’t seen an episode since young Flit). That and I’m working on fixing the issues with MediaFire uploads. I may do links here on the site somehow.

Iron Mustang

For those wondering where this series disappeared to, I am caught up with it (sans this month of course), but I’m choosing to wait until the first volume comes out on May 26th before I release any more.

THE GLORY OF LOSERS.18

Translation by: Deacon Blues
Release for: Standard Update

Well, seeing as I just got my Gundam Ace yesterday, this is probably the fastest release… then again, it took me 5 minutes to do since there’s maybe 3 pages of dialogue if that. All in all, this was a HUGE disappointment and I’m getting sick of these split up nothing is happening chapters lately. You’re disappointing me, Japan! Boo! *drops glory manga* Just kidding…

Database Updates

Continuing my quest for only the most accurate information (I’m looking at you, Wikia. Suck it!), I have data pages for the MS Battlefield Record and MS GENERATION manga as well as a split-off for the Traitor to Destiny series. The space arc has been reclassified under the title: The Traitor to Destiny: Blue Wings of the AEUG in accordance with the novel release. More updates in the future!

FYI: Members of the Wikia Community, while I appreciate your efforts in keeping “your” pages up to date, please don’t steal my shit. I know you credit me and everything, but it’s annoying to see my work slapped up on your site five minutes after posting. Do the work yourself instead. 🙂

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt

I’ve created a database entry for this series. You can find an outline, a summary of the first chapter as well as character and mecha information.

If anyone knows a place that I can purchase Big Comic Superior from, please let me know =)

A Word About MangaFox & Aggregators

Howdy all,

Over the years a vast majority of our releases have ended up on manga sites on the net. I really have to stress that our releases should not be put up on those sites. Whenever we do batch releases or tankouban editions there are numerous corrections to old translations as well as grammatical errors which ultimately affect the flow of the story and whatnot. So I really have to stress not adding them to these websites. While it may be a futile battle, I really want the best for the community and the only way to ensure that is through our control, which is why we have our own gallery. If worse comes to worst, we may end up resorting to releasing via our gallery and nix the direct downloads in the end.

Below is what I contacted Manga Fox with:

    Hello,

I’m writing to you folks to kindly remove several series from your website that my group has released. According to your terms of service, a user who uploads a particular chapter or series to your website must “own or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions” in order to do so. As such, I’m writing to indicate that none of the following series have been authorized by me to be uploaded to your website:

Gundam UC: Bande Dessinee
Gundam X: Under the Moonlight
Kidou Senshi Crossbone Gundam Ghost
Kidou Senshi Gundam – Gyakushuu no Char – Beyond the Time
Kidou Senshi Gundam 00F
Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed C.E.73 Delta Astray
Kidou Senshi Gundam Seed Frame Astrays
Kidou Senshi Gundam: C.D.A. Wakaki Suisei no Shouzou
Kidou Senshi Gundam: Silhouette Formula 91
Kidou Senshi Gundam: Zeon no Saiko
Mobile Suit Gundam 00V
Mobile Suit Gundam F90
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny Astray
Mobile Suit Gundam SEED X Astray

As a result, Under United States copyright law, translations are considered “derivative works” of the original material on which they are based. As a result the translation stands apart from the original work and is eligible for copyright protection independent of the original work. And as such, the aforementioned series fall under ownership of my group and myself as I personally worked on a vast majority of them.

So, I would like to ask you kindly to please remove them from the public domain that you are displaying them on as they were not authorized to be uploaded in the first place.

Thank you,

Deacon Blues
