Gundam Ace: Ordered

I’ve put an order in for Gundam Ace (March and April) issues today as I received my new card yesterday. Hopefully they’ll be here by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week so we can get to work again. Aside from that, after reading the latest information on Frozen Teardrop, I think we’re officially going to be dropping it. It’s completely fucked with my childhood and I really wanna bitchslap Sumisawa. Wanna know why? Here’s why:

Rhapsody of Loneliness – Prologue

– The story begins April AC-146
– Heero Yuy’s political debut was with with an anti-war speech that started with “shut up, old man”
– Following the speech, Heero and Sabrina spend a long time hiding themselves at Cinquante Khushrenada’s mansion. It was to defend them from assassination by the Alliance Forces.
– Sabrina and Katrina avoided appearing in the same place following the “official” death in the shuttle accident.
– Katrina passes “Katrina Peacecraft” to her sister Sabrina who chooses the path to continue fighting with the Wyvern.

– An armistace treaty was later signed beterrn the Sanc Kingdom and the Alliance Forces.
– Reparations of 5x that of the Peacecraft Family’s total assets was added to the treaty. “Katrina Peacecraft” accepts the advice of Romefeller Foundation’s Eric Shergold and signs the treaty.
– The evacuating Alliance Forces attempt to slaughter civilians but they’re prevented by Katerina in the Wyvern.
– Katerina, D.D. and Howard gather in the secret base called “Sherwood Forest” and board the flagship “Robin Hood”

– After that, the reparations imposed on the Sanc Kingdom are paid by Eric’s personal assets. He has a thing for Sabrina but the age difference at the time prevented him from saying anything (lol she’s 15–pedo!)

– Meanwhile, in Sherwood Forest, “Sorcière”, a long hair beautiful woman joins in.
– She’s a former rebel army “gunner” (she passed herself off as this), but she’s just as odd as the other scientists
– Her sense of naming is strange: 5 large-scale heavy tanks are referred to as the “pumpkin tank corps” because they’re called “Jack-o-Lanterns”

– In the end, she turns out to be a he. The long hair was a wig.
– Although disguising as a woman is a mans hobby, the figure is a younger Doktor S who develops the Heavyarms and Prometheus.

– Katerina sees the Pumpkin Tanks and exclaims “Then tonight I’m Cendrillon!”
– Cendrillon (Lightning Queen Katrina) arrives on the battlefield called “Endless Waltz” with the pumpkin tanks provided by Sorcière.

Ghostly Woes

Okay, here’s my dilemma. I’m still waiting on my new debit card so I can purchase Gundam Ace and what not, but I’ve translated Crossbone Ghost and Iron Mustang based on scans in the meantime. Nonetheless, I’m having a major issue with Ghost. For those of you who may recall, we translated a name in Chapter 02 as “Circus”. The word is サーカス. Seems like it would be Circus, right?

Of course not.

Hasegawa has dubbed this one as “Thou-cus”, with the explanation being that it’s a shortening of サウザント・カスタム (thousant custom). So, essentially when this is translated into English the play on words is lost… any suggestions on how this could be rendered? I can’t exactly create my own sort of name change as that would detract from the central portion of the story, but I’m at a loss… [:/]

I refuse to make a translation note because… those are lame and highly unprofessional.

Subbing Editor/Staff Needed

Hello all,

I’m looking to reach out to any of the groups that handled Gundam subs over the years to help me with something that’s been shelved for quite some time. While our print form projects have been rather each to work around, this particular item is a bit different to work with, and I’d like to have someone take a look at it for editing. Even better would be a translation check/editor, but that may be asking for too much. At any rate, I won’t name the project at this time since it’s still in the rough stages, but we’ll eventually need a small encode and karaoke/timer as well. If you feel that you’re able to lend your expertise to this, please let me know.

Thanks guys!

MARCH GUNDAM ACE: DELAYED

Hi guys,

Unfortunately I have a bit of bad news to report. It seems that somehow some dickwad managed to get a hold of my debit card and started making purchases through iTunes with it. I’m disputing the transactions and have since deactivated my card, so it looks like Gundam Ace won’t be arriving any time soon. I get my new card within two weeks, so we’ll have a bit of a set back for the time being.

I’m royally pissed.

I’ll see if I can’t get Crossbone and Iron Mustang scans elsewhere on the net once Gundam Ace breaks, but there’s no guarantee unfortunately. Here’s to hoping this gets resolved soon =)

Iron Mustang Section Updates

In preparation for our release, I’ve updated the section of the site with some new information. I’ve added new characters, mechanics, summaries, and a timeline.

2012: The Year of Zeonic?

In light of our recent rapid release period, perhaps our 8th year in this business will be our most productive one. Barring the Iron Mustang release, all of our projects are just about up to date, which is certainly a feat and a half for yours truly. Amazing! Now to add 5 more projects, drop them after the first week and disappear for four months! 😀

NEW MOBILE WAR REPORT GUNDAM W ENDLESS WALTZ
THE GLORY OF LOSERS CHAPTER.14-15

Translation by: Deacon Blues
Editing by: Martin Wandering

Operation Pleiades, whose objective is to completely dissolve the United Earth Sphere Alliance in one swift move. With the Alliance Forces Chiefs of Staff gathered at the New Edwards base on the west coast of North America, the deficiency in the chain of command at several principal military bases left them open to the synchronized, simultaneous attacks of OZ’s elite units. The mastermind behind this meticulously orchestrated operation was Colonel Une. Furthermore, while the Gundams’ actions were an unanticipated anomaly during its execution, their gathering at the New Edwards base contributed to the success of the operation.

Translation Assistance

Howdy all,

I’m having a spot of trouble with the Crossbone Gundam Ghost manga. I’m having difficulty wrapping my brain around a particular page in the chapter. Mind you I’m fully aware of what they’re saying in Japanese, it’s just phrasing it in coherent English that’s posing a problem. Everything else in this chapter is translated and, sadly, this is the only page that’s holding up the editing and subsequent release of it. Here’s to hoping someone can offer some assistance. The pic in question is below.
