A Word About MangaFox & Aggregators

Over the years a vast majority of our releases have ended up on manga sites on the net. I really have to stress that our releases should not be put up on those sites. Whenever we do batch releases or tankouban editions there are numerous corrections to old translations as well as grammatical errors which ultimately affect the flow of the story and whatnot. So I really have to stress not adding them to these websites. While it may be a futile battle, I really want the best for the community and the only way to ensure that is through our control, which is why we have our own gallery. If worse comes to worst, we may end up resorting to releasing via our gallery and nix the direct downloads in the end.

Having escaped the enemy on the spaceship Manzana Flor, Font is screened to become a member of the team. Just as they’re heading to a briefing room, a broadcast is received from Tetenith Dogatie, head of the Jupiter Foundation. The ominous “Angel Call” was stolen from them some time ago and they’re on a mission to get it back. The very existence of the mysterious meteorite spells catastrophe for the Earth sphere as well as all of mankind if it’s used! Separating from the Jupiter Republic, she proclaims the revival of the Crossbone Vanguard to find it no matter what! Font soon learns just how deadly Angel Call really is: it’s a strong pathogen that causes a fatal disease, a space microbe with a different base sequence!

We’ve got another tie-in to Frozen Teardrop a la Marquis Weridge and his request for help from Queen Katrina. All in all it’ll be interesting to see where things go with the WuFei versus Treize duel coming out this month and why Treize has young images of Lady Une in a white dress…

Curtis goes to battle with the mysterious envoy from Jupiter. However, he’s having difficulty fighting an enemy he’s not familiar with! After having trained to recognize certain enemy mobile suits via audio feedback, the Crossbone Gundam has nothing on the new Desphys! Curtis is forced to rely on Font to convey information to him, but that doesn’t go over too well. Just when it seems like things have gone from bad to worse, the accompanying Zanscare forces attempt to move in, but they’re mowed down by the Desphys! Weren’t they working together?! Staring death in the face, Font takes things into his own hands by launching another mobile suit straight at the enemy!

March 8th, 2012 deackychu I’m finalizing the final portions of Crossbone Ghost, but I’m (once again) having issues with phrasing some things. They are:
ZANSCARE: 「われらの仲間ではないのか？」
JACK: 「ああ・・・それなら・・・コロニーの外でバラバラだ」
They shoot at him.
JACK: 「ビビッてだんまり決め込んでんなら後回しにするつもりだったんだがな」
I’m… Stumped on Jacks lines. Yeah, he cut a guy in half shortly before his ‘outside the colony’ line but. My brain is fried otherwise. Halp so we can release plz.

In the Sanc Kingdom, Zechs achieves his ultimate revenge on the one who annihilated the monarchy from the face of the Earth so long ago, but not before renewing his strength for fighting after the passing of a comrade…

Ghostly Woes
February 21st, 2012 deackychu Okay, here’s my dilemma. I’m still waiting on my new debit card so I can purchase Gundam Ace and what not, but I’ve translated Crossbone Ghost and Iron Mustang based on scans in the meantime. Nonetheless, I’m having a major issue with Ghost. For those of you who may recall, we translated a name in Chapter 02 as “Circus”. The word is サーカス. Seems like it would be Circus, right?
Of course not.
Hasegawa has dubbed this one as “Thou-cus”, with the explanation being that it’s a shortening of サウザント・カスタム (thousant custom). So, essentially when this is translated into English the play on words is lost… any suggestions on how this could be rendered? I can’t exactly create my own sort of name change as that would detract from the central portion of the story, but I’m at a loss… [:/]
I refuse to make a translation note because… those are lame and highly unprofessional.
Subbing Editor/Staff Needed

I’m looking to reach out to any of the groups that handled Gundam subs over the years to help me with something that’s been shelved for quite some time. While our print form projects have been rather each to work around, this particular item is a bit different to work with, and I’d like to have someone take a look at it for editing. Even better would be a translation check/editor, but that may be asking for too much. At any rate, I won’t name the project at this time since it’s still in the rough stages, but we’ll eventually need a small encode and karaoke/timer as well. If you feel that you’re able to lend your expertise to this, please let me know.

MARCH GUNDAM ACE: DELAYED

Unfortunately I have a bit of bad news to report. It seems that somehow some dickwad managed to get a hold of my debit card and started making purchases through iTunes with it. I’m disputing the transactions and have since deactivated my card, so it looks like Gundam Ace won’t be arriving any time soon. I get my new card within two weeks, so we’ll have a bit of a set back for the time being.
I’m royally pissed.
I’ll see if I can’t get Crossbone and Iron Mustang scans elsewhere on the net once Gundam Ace breaks, but there’s no guarantee unfortunately. Here’s to hoping this gets resolved soon =)

The mastermind behind this meticulously orchestrated operation was Colonel Une. Furthermore, while the Gundams’ actions were an unanticipated anomaly during its execution, their gathering at the New Edwards base contributed to the success of the operation.

We learn that a member of Serpiente Tacon managed to obtain information on Zanscare’s invasion plan and it’s part of the same information that Font came across on the net. In exchange for joining them and helping their cause, Font and his family is afforded protection. However, as the two make their preparations for escape, Zanscare forces appear in the colony! When the smoke clears and the suits dealt with, a mysterious mobile suit belonging to the “Circus” special forces appears…
