Amazon Japan Order

I placed the Amazon Japan order (ugh shipping costs). There are a couple things that had to get cut due to out of stocks as well as horrible shipping expenditures. I guess we’ll have to pick them up next time. This order (including Gundam Ace) ran just over $150, which is the ate all of the donations so I had to dip into vacation pay to boost it up. Thank you to everyone who helped! Here’s to hoping next month I can collect the rest! 😀
Glory of Losers Update
July 17th, 2011 deackychu So I’m sure some of you are wondering where the Glory of Losers release is seeing that it passed through Phase-1 of the QC. Well, I’m trying something new with a release… something that is probably highly unnecessary and all, but I’m quite satisfied with this project thus far and want to take it one step further. I’ll illustrate below what I’m attempting.
There are some pages that this may not be a viable option, but I’m trying my best. It may or may not work in the end, but hey… Wing has a special place in my heart so why not make it the best possible, eh?

Char’s Deleted Affair 3x The Release!
June 28th, 2011 deackychu Yes, that’s right! We’ve got a HUGE release to bring to you folks just in time for our 7 year anniversary! *applauds*
As most of you are aware, we’ve been sitting on Char’s Deleted Affair for almost a year now. Yeah, that’s all about to change. These three volumes were done over the span of three weeks. Yes, we managed to complete that much in such little time. I’ve been incredibly bored lately so I decided to get my lazy ass in gear and crank out some material. I guess we’ve filled the quota for the next three years. KIDDING! With that in mind, I’d like to say this:

We have lost several series to our glorious and noble cause, but does this foreshadow our defeat? No. It is a new beginning. Compared to most scanlators, the resources of Zeonic is really quite low. Despite this major difference, how is it that we have been able to continue for so long? It is because our goal in the Gundam community is a righteous one. It’s been over one year since this shit ass economy consumed the job market and began to eat away at what little savings I had! Never forget the series we’ve brought you! We, the most notable Gundam scanlation group around, have had a long and arduous struggle to achieve our goals for everyone. Our fight is sacred, our cause divine. Our projects are at a stalemate. Perhaps I’ve become complacent.
The economy has forced me to give up many of the series we’ve started because I don’t have the means to purchase them. I’ve done my best to clean up craptacular scans and utilize them to bring fans a little bit of Gundam every month. We were on a roll for quite a while before I started to fall a little bit further behind every month due to a lack of purchasing abilities. So, I’m turning to the fans once more in search of help to purchase some of the materials I am missing. Even if we had 20 people donate $5, that would be a huge help to our cause. As you can tell with this release, we’ve got a lot that we want to offer, so here’s what we are trying to purchase:
* Char’s Deleted Affair [Volume.13 & Volume.14]
* Gundam W Frozen Teardrop [Volume.01 & Volume.02]
* Ecole du Ciel [Volume 12]
* Char’s Counterattack BEYOND THE TIME [Volume.01]

* Etc.There are several other series but I’m focused on clearing what we started initially (Beyond the Time, Gundam Unicorn, etc). Granted, I’ve searched the net for files, hunted on Winny and what not and simply cannot find them. I know they exist as I’ve found 2ch pages with hash IDs and what not, but they never appear for me. So, I’d like to ask the community for help to allow me to purchase these. They’re relatively cheap, but alas Amazon Japan’s shipping fees are astronomical and Kinokuniya isn’t much better with marking up their prices. I’ve pretty much been eating a $40 server bill every three months (which I shouldn’t, but I love you guys), so purchasing Gundam Ace for chapters is pretty much impossible right now. 🙁

3x the Speed, 3x the Material

Over the past three weeks, we here at Zeonic have completed three volumes for a series that’s been stalled for almost a year. In fact, when we release the three volumes this week it’ll be nearly a year since anyone has heard from them. So, I’m quite pleased with the progress I’ve been making on them and will continue to make with the subsequent 6 volumes that lie ahead of us. Here’s to hoping that everyone enjoys what we have in store =)

MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM THE ORIGIN ANIMATION PROJECT BEGINS!
Coinciding with the final chapter of Gundam the Origin in the commemorative issue of Gundam Ace, an anime project has finally been announced! The latest information will be presented in the magazine in subsequent issues!
The Chief Gundam Officer, Uchida, notes that he feels Gundam has become “something different” somewhere around the ending of the first series telecast. He goes on to state that since Zeta Gundam it’s become apparent that this is no fluke trend as various and different kinds of Gundam have been produced as a result, each of which have been supported. For him, when it comes to keeping the “Gundam brand” alive over thirty years, feelings are rather complex.

June 18th, 2011 deackychu Head on over to our database page where I’ve finally gotten around to compiling a section for Char’s Deleted Affair. I’ve pretty much listed all of the characters and mechanics that appear in the series. I’ll have the timeline up at some point in the future.
